Hassan Bouzahzah (PhD)
He holds a master’s degree in applied geology from the University of Lille (France), an advanced study diploma in applied sciences from the University of Liège (Belgium) and a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Quebec in Abitibi-Témiscaminque in Rouyn-Noranda (Quebec, Canada). He has 13 years of experience between Canada and Belgium during which he acquired the mastery of several techniques ranging from optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, to elementary microanalysis techniques by energy dispersive spectroscopy, wavelength and laser ablation. He is also the pilot of the Zeiss automated mineralogy system (Mincape Mining). He is responsible for the lab@location (geoscience reference laboratory) for the Zeiss company. In addition, he has mastered all the techniques for predicting the environmental behavior of mining waste and its recovery.
